How Does Buick LaCrosse the Road? Safely!
IIHS Top Safety Pick impresses with security, comfort and quality.

The Buick LaCrosse has been completely redesigned for 2010 in order to stay at the forefront of the fast-paced world of premium midsize sedans. Not only has special attention been paid to its sultry looks, well-appointed interior and willing drivetrain, but Buick has also gone the extra mile when it comes to overall safety – a fact recognized by the 2010 Buick LaCrosse’s status as a Top Safety Pick of the Insurance Institute for Highway Safety (IIHS).

The 2010 Jeep® Patriot Snags Rare Compact SUV IIHS Top Safety Pick Award
Trail leader and urban warrior also qualifies as one of the safest small sport utility vehicles available.

For a compact sport utility vehicle, being awarded the Insurance Institute for Highway Safety’s (IIHS) Top Safety Pick award for 2010 means joining a very exclusive club. The 2010 Jeep® Patriot has managed to defy the odds and make it to the short list along with only three other small SUVs that were able to pass the rigors of the Institute’s in-depth vehicle safety testing.

Safe Pick
The Insurance Institute for Highway Safety names the 2010 Chevy Malibu a Top Safety Pick.

Commonly deemed one of the most appealing and advanced midsize sedans on the market, the 2010 Chevy Malibu now has the honorable distinction of also being one of the safest. Thanks to its intelligent engineering, innovative safety measures and emphasis on handling and control, Chevy’s latest was named a Top Safety Pick, one of only 27 for 2010, by the Insurance Institute for Highway Safety (IIHS).

The 2010 Nissan Cube Scores Big with IIHS Top Safety Pick
Smart-looking compact crossover is as safe as it is stylish.

The 2010 Nissan Cube is more than just a funky new face – it’s also an entirely fresh transportation concept hailing from the streets of Japanese cities, where space is at a premium and innovation is key when it comes to vehicle design. Not only does the Cube offer a brand new take on urban utility, it also shatters the myth that compact cars are inherently more dangerous than their larger counterparts by winning a 2010 Top Safety Pick designation from the Insurance Institute for Highway Safety (IIHS).

Is Your Kitchen Affecting How You Eat?
Here are a few little things to do to keep your weight in check.

An unhealthy diet and lack of exercise can certainly lead to weight gain. But there are many other factors that can also contribute to overeating and extra pounds. From poor eating habits to stress caused from, say, paying your monthly bills, people face many conflicts that affect not only their eating schedules, but also the number that appears on the scale.

Turning Up the volume on MP3s
Today’s portable players offer much more than just music.

And since its debut, digital music has enjoyed dramatic popularity within the entertainment industry. As technology rapidly advances, however, MP3 players are constantly being replaced by more ambitious and innovative models.

Top Safety Picks Announced
Insurance Institute for Highway Safety

To determine crashworthiness — how well a vehicle protects its occupants in a crash — the Hightway Institute rates vehicles good, acceptable, marginal, or poor based on performance in high-speed front and side crash tests, a rollover test, plus evaluations of seat/head restraints for protection against neck injuries in rear impacts. To earn Top Safety Pick for 2010 a vehicle must have good ratings in all four Institute tests. In addition, the winning vehicles must offer electronic stability control.

The Tempting World of Discount Paint and Bodywork
The price might be right, but the cost down the road will more than make up for any apparent savings.

There are few things more disheartening than walking up to your vehicle in a parking lot only to realize that someone has put a sizeable ding or dent in its side, or perhaps used your bumpers as feelers during an aborted parking attempt. Even worse is having to deal with the type of damage left behind by someone carelessly rear ending you at a stoplight, especially if their love tap was hard enough to crack bumper covers and displace sheet metal.
