Now on DriveLiveTV: The 2012 Ford F-150

Only mess with perfection if you’re absolutely certain the outcome will prove better, and that’s precisely why for 2012, the full-sized Ford F-150 pickup truck sees just a few driveline upgrades – ones that do not compromise fuel efficiency – and a new FX Appearance Package with flat-black accents.

Vehicle Profile: The 2012 Ford Fiesta Hatch
The new paradigm in the subcompact class.

Photo: The 2012 Ford Fiesta Hatch
Today, more than ever, value dictates the hierarchy among subcompacts. With the introduction of the all-new Fiesta just last year, Ford instantly eclipsed the competition and snatched the value crown. Refusing to accept the old standard, Ford designed the Fiesta to partner class-leading value and fuel economy with the kind of style, performance and build quality buyers expect from much pricier cars. In an options list adorned with upscale features such as push button start, heated leather front seats, Easy Fuel™ Capless Fuel Filler and a power moonroof, it may be more appropriate to say that the 2012 Ford Fiesta occupies a segment all its own.

Vehicle Profile: The 2012 Ford Edge Sport
Believe the hype.

Photo: The 2012 Ford Edge Sport
Crossovers have captured the hearts of millions of buyers by blending the best elements of truck-based SUVs with the comfort and handling of traditional family sedans. Rugged utility and all-weather security dovetailed with a quiet interior, sharper handling and better fuel economy; that’s the ideal match for shoppers looking for an all-around vehicle that is perfect for long commutes, family travel and weekend runs to big-box stores. The one thing buyers would likely never expect from a crossover is high-performance, but the 2012 Ford Edge Sport is here to shatter expectations.

Car Care: Using Genuine Replacement Parts
The right part makes all the difference.

Photo: Using Genuine Replacement Parts
It takes hundreds of thousands of man-hours and several years of design, engineering and testing work to bring a new car, truck, SUV or crossover to the market. With so much work going into developing and integrating every component of a new vehicle, and as one of the most expensive pieces of equipment most people own, it really doesn’t make sense to install replacement parts of dubious origin.

Ford Debuts New Method of Attaching Windshields
The patented process exemplifies clean technology at its best.

Photo: Ford Debuts New Method of Attaching Windshields
Ford Motor Company is commercializing a new process that makes attaching vehicle windshields simpler, eco-friendly and less costly. Two separate patents cover this cutting-edge technology. The first patent is for the process with the edge of the windshield glass that can be cleaned and activated in less than 10 seconds. The second patent involves the application of a plasma-reacted nano-coating that helps prepare the surface for the bonding of the adhesive that holds the windshield in place.

Ford Helps Deliver Fresh Food Across America
The automaker combats hunger with two partners and a fleet of refrigerated trucks.

For the 11th consecutive year, Ford Motor Company is teaming up with Newman’s Own® Inc. and Feeding America to distribute food to communities in need across five regions of the country. Over the past decade, more than 100 refrigerated Ford trucks have carried perishable foods to these communities; thanks to a recent donation of five more vehicles, every state will get a visit from a Ford truck or van filled with nutritious Newman’s Own food.

This is partially because there are several different causes of color blindness, as well as a variety of ways the condition develops. Is it true that only males are at risk? Are people born with color blindness? Read on to find out what is fact and what is fiction:

Two is One Too Many
Sequels that thankfully never happened.

Photo: Two is One Too Many
Some of the worst films ever made are, in fact, sequels to some of the best films ever made. While some have gotten it right (Godfather II, anyone?), many more have left people longing for the originals. Luckily, some studio executives had the wherewithal to put the kibosh on these prospective sequels.
