The Luxury is Positively Electric in the 2008 Lexus GS 450h
The GS 450h establishes a whole bunch of firsts for a hybrid.

Leave it to Lexus to break the mold with the GS 450h electric luxury sports sedan. It’s the first front-engine/rear-wheel hybrid, the first hybrid with 330 hp and certainly the fastest production hybrid on the planet. No question about it, the GS 450h makes a statement, and it caught practically everyone by surprise.

The Shot Heard ‘Round Edina
2008 US Women's Open
by Eric Heimsness.......Lexus Sales and Leasing

It wasn’t Bobby Thompson hitting a walk-off home run Oct. 3rd, 1953 as the Giants defeated the Dodgers for the National League Pennant…it was bigger than that! It was the final day of the U.S. Womens Open at Interlachen in Edina.  I witnessed a history making golf shot that gave me goose bumps, back to that moment later.

Summer Memories
by Greg Carlini...Pre-Owned Sales and Leasing

When I was a child and gas prices were significantly lower, my three brothers, four sisters, mom and dad would pile into the family wagon and go for a Sunday drive. We might go to the city park or go to the local lake and maybe even venture off to the mountains. It was an inexpensive form of entertainment, especially for a family with eight kids. Even today with gas prices over $4 dollars a gallon, it’s still a bargain and a great way to see our great country and get closer to your family.

The Pantages Theatre
A gem in the downtown Minneapolis Historic Theatre Group
by Scott Shutes.....Lexus Sales and Leasing

The Pantages Theatre is located in Downtown Minneapolis and is part of the Historic Theatre Group. The Pantages offers smaller plays, concerts, ballets, and other shows. Although not used nearly as often as its sister theatres, the Orpheum and the State, the Pantages is just as beautiful and elegant, in the beginning it started out as an old Vaudeville theater.

TAKE THE LEXUS HYBRID CHALLENGE
by Slater Lampman...Lexus Sales and Leasing

In spring of 2005 Lexus began selling the popular RX400H.  For the Lexus brand the 400H was our first entry into the Hybrid market.  While the initial fuel economy statistics were a bit optimistic, the RX400H continues to be a top performing vehicle for Lexus with fuel economy that far exceeds the traditional gas burning RX350.

Horsepower is What You Pay For and Torque is What You Love!
So why do I feel like that’s just the “simple” definition?

The fact is almost no one can define horsepower and torque, but they know it when they feel it. There’s a reason why it takes mechanical engineers to define torque and its relationship to horsepower, much less how it is measured where it counts—at the drive wheels. It’s COMPLICATED! In fact, it is so complex that we are used to throwing around horsepower numbers and torque (in pound-feet, no less) that we can use the figures for comparison and still not have the foggiest idea what they really mean.

Why......??
by Todd Hubbard...Lexus Sales and Leasing

We are a society that likes to ask “Why”? I believe that we can often find the answer by simply looking from within ourselves. A lot of the time we find it easy to look to others for either the answer or even to blame for situations in our lives.

Where Do Colorful Sunsets Get Their Color?
by Cal Wicklander...Lexus Pre-Owned Sales

If it wasn’t for dirt, water, dust and pollutants in the atmosphere there would be no sunsets! To clarify, the dust in the air reflects red light (the fastest speeds of light) and absorbs blue light (the slowest speeds of light). The dust and some gases to in the atmosphere is blown up from the land by winds, and are the source of that old sailor’s rhyme: “Red sky by night, sailors delight; Red sky by morning, sailor’s warning.

Introduction of Toyota to Nascar
by Scott Macziewski...Parts Specialist

The introduction of Toyota to NASCAR has been huge for Toyota lovers and NASCAR fans.  It has raised eyebrows on how one Manufacture can come into a sport and in one year’s time go from having your best car running 35th in points to having 4 in the top 20, including 2 in the top 10 and one leading the championship standings. It’s pretty amazing on what they have accomplished.
